Just in time before I start at the Art Institute of Boston, I seem to have re-grown that part of my brain that urges me to be creative. All it took was someone to say "hey, have you looked for jobs as an artist on craigslist?". And I was all "WHATS CRAIGSLIST I'M A TOTAL NOOB TO THE INTERWEBS?" because I had heard of it but never actually seen it for myself. Come to find there are people all over, even on Cape Cod who want or need an artist! OH to feel NEEDED to do that which you love!! I was so excited that I began contacting people right away about jobs.
All of this has lead me to a sudden realization: I have never intentionally drawn anyone other than caucasian. Not that big a deal, I just don't know many people at all let alone anyone who looks or acts or thinks much different from myself. It's refreshing and new and curious to realize that where I had been painting with just one color on the palette and now I'm realizing just how bright and different and of course beautiful it is to work in all colors! no more jonny two-tone! I'M BREAKIN' INTO FULL COLOR!!
Now I just gotta learn all the colors on the color wheel...

I like purple.
EDIT: This means there should be some new items in my gallery soon.
